      We are Brisbane’s friendliest and most enthusiastic dog training team (according to our happy customers)

      At “Take the Lead”, we firmly believe that training should be fun, fast and effective.  We teach methods that can be used by all members of the family

      We use humane, reward-based methods of training that are scientifically proven to work (ie no check/choker chains, physical manipulation or intimidation/dominance techniques used)

      We promote the importance of a positive relationship between the owner and dog that is based on leadership, trust and respect

      We believe in providing an environment that minimises stress for both owners and their dogs to maximise learning

      We emphasise clear and concise communication between owner and dog

      We believe in promoting responsible pet dog ownership by educating owners to better understand their dog’s needs

      We have small class sizes (maximum of 6 dogs per trainer) so you and your dog get individual attention

We cater for all ages from 6 wk old puppies through to senior canine citizens (you’re never too old to learn) focusing on helping your pooch to be well-mannered members of your family and society.  We will teach you how to deal with normal doggy behaviours, how to train your dog to be calm and develop basic good manners and the responsibilities of good K9 ownership. We will cover such topics as how dogs learn, body language, preventing and solving basic problem behaviours and how to be a good leader
